School Board Candidate Views

Mac Kilduff, Staff Writer
  • Henry Lane believes in year round schooling to reduce students in daily attendance by %25. Reduces need for new buildings but cost of educating students would go up substantially.
  • Board President Elton Fay is against year round schooling due to students on different schedules.
  • Candidate Larry Dorman wants to eliminate overcrowding and is against the plan of year round schooling. He wants to increase teacher pay as well but is worried about money.
  • Kerry Corino reminds candidates that public schools cannot choose their students and believes the budget is an issue.
